We had a good day Saturday except that we had to say goodbye to our 1-week campers. It was nice to see so many long hugs when the parents arrived. Hopefully we will see all those boys next year for at least a week and some for two weeks!
The game of the day at sports was tennis baseball. The race is now beginning to draw close and things could get interesting the second half of the session. The ropes course is beginning to start their very high elements such as the Kamikaze and the Pamper Pole.
Tonight we had the Blazer Animal show. Brian Blazer has been coming to camp Laney for over 20 years and he bring animals from all over the world. This year has added an arctic fox and the campers LOVED IT!! Our oldest campers (CITs) hiked in the woods to another campfire site near the water and had s’mores and talked about what it means to be a counselor in training.
Menu:
Breakfast – Chicken, Biscuits, Gravy, cereal
Lunch – Spaghetti with meatballs, peas, salad, brownies
Supper – Chicken sandwiches, Fries, cookies
