Ok everyone, summer is quickly approaching and that means it’s time to meet your SUMMER 2019 SENIOR STAFF!!!

Up first: Austin Lewter

College: Birmingham-Southern College

Major: Political Science

What I want to be when I grow up: College Professor, Dwayne Johnson Stunt Double, or Putt-Putt Enthusiast

Years at Laney: 3

Favorite Laney Meal: Chicken & Rice (Yellow Paste)

Favorite Camp Memory: Serving as a final Bombardy referee was an absolute thriller! The ChapDome rivaled Bryant-Denny Stadium during the final match for the Tribe Trophy. It warmed my heart to see the Apaches and Comanches shake hands, in true Laney Boy fashion, after such an intense battle. A night that I will never forget.

Favorite Thing to Do at Camp Laney: Play basketball in its purest form (that being in the Pool of course) against all of Group 1!

Austin will be head of Major Sports this year and Co-head of the WCIT Program!

Whitney has been on staff full-time since 1994. He started coming to camp in 1977 and has never missed a summer. He and his wife Rita live in Mentone, Alabama year round.
