CAMP LANEY MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of Camp Laney is to offer each camper a challenging, fun, SAFE, and well supervised camp experience. Each camper will grow in spiritual awareness, physical capabilities, social relationships and in the development of self-esteem. The Camp Laney experience provides a lifetime of memories, friendships, and appreciation of the rugged natural beauty of our world.

Summer camp isn’t just about fun; it’s about transformation. Boys explore new activities and challenges, build self-reliance, gain confidence, unplug from technology, and forge lifelong friendships. These powerful experiences inspired parents, alumni (both campers and staff) to unite behind Camp Laney’s mission. Their shared belief in the camp’s impact on youth led to the creation of The Camp Laney Foundation. With a clear purpose, the foundation provides financial aid to boys who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend Camp Laney.

“There is hardly a summer of my childhood that did not include a fun-filled two-week session at Camp Laney full of fond memories, incredible new experiences, and lifelong friendships. My three younger brothers and I all enjoyed our Camp Laney experience so much that we each spent most of our summers during college working as camp counselors on the Laney Staff as well. As both a camper and counselor, I have seen firsthand what an incredibly positive impact Camp Laney has had on the lives of countless young men. As a dad myself now, I am so thankful that Camp Laney will help shape the lives of my two sons as well during their summers at Camp. To me and my family Camp Laney is HOME. There is no doubt that Camp Laney helped make me a better man, husband, father, and friend; that is a debt I can never fully repay but for which I will be forever grateful. For these reasons, I will always support Camp Laney to ensure that this special place continues to impact the lives of “Laney boys” for years to come. The Camp Laney Foundation allows me the chance to “pay it forward” and to provide the same priceless summer camp experience to many future “Laney boys” who are no less deserving of this wonderful, life-changing opportunity.” - Camp Laney Foundation Board Member, Ryals Stone
