Admission, Cancellation, & Refund Policies

Camp Laney accepts boys of good character of any race, creed, ethnicity, or national origin. For a camper to participate in all aspects of the Camp Laney program, he should:

  • enthusiastically want to go to overnight camp, rather than feeling persuaded.
  • independently meet his personal needs, such as showering, changing, eating, and toileting.
  • effectively interact in group situations (games, teams, cabin living).
  • easily understand and willingly follow safety instructions.
  • be able to move independently from place to place at camp.

The director must approve all applications.

ALL CAMPERS AND STAFF ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE UP TO DATE IMMUNIZATIONS TO ATTEND CAMP LANEY. ONLY MEDICAL WAIVERS WILL BE CONSIDERED. PLEASE CONTACT THE DIRECTOR.

Possession of firearms, the use of alcohol, non-prescription drugs, or tobacco in any form is not permitted at Camp Laney. Violation of this policy will result in dismissal from the camp. The director reserves the right to dismiss any boy, or refuse admission to any applicant whose presence, in his opinion, would be detrimental to the best interest of Camp Laney.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

  • A registration fee of $700 is required and must be received before the camper will be enrolled. The registration fee is deducted from the total camp fee.
  • There are two additional $700 payments due Dec 1st and Feb 1st
  • The balance of the fee is to be paid by May 1st.

We accept eCheck (1% charge), Visa, Mastercard, American Express, & Discover. A 3% charge is added to payments made with a credit card. This does not apply to debit cards.

No deduction is allowed for late arrival, early departures, withdrawal (including for homesickness), or dismissal.

All money paid through February 1st is refundable less a $200 processing fee.

After February 1st, the $700 registration deposit is non-refundable but all other tuition paid is refundable through May 1st.

There are no refunds on cancellations received after May 1st, however, the forfeited portion of the tuition (less the $700 registration deposit) can be applied to the following season if the camper attends. Families who choose to roll over any portion of their tuition to the following camp season should contact one of the directors.

In the event of sudden camper illness or injury prior to camp, 50% of the tuition will be refunded. This allows the camp and the family to share the loss equally. The forfeited portion may be applied to the following camp season.

All cancellations must be requested in writing (email).

If the Alabama Department of Public Health, local county health department (Dekalb County), or Camp Laney Medical Staff determine that a camp session should end early due to community health and safety concerns, 50% of the pro-rated tuition will be refunded. This allows the camp and the family to share the loss equally. The forfeited portion may be applied to the following camp season.

The camp directors reserve the right to dismiss any boy, or refuse any applicant whose presence, in their opinion, would be detrimental to the best interest of Camp Laney.
