Father/Son Weekend

May 10 - 12, 2019

This weekend furthers the relationship between fathers and sons by engaging both in fun and challenging activities. It’s a weekend for “just the guys” to spend a couple of nights on top of Lookout Mountain. The memories made TOGETHER will last a lifetime.

If you are considering sending your son to camp, the Father/Son Weekend is a great introduction to all that Camp Laney has to offer. When the time comes to spend a session at camp without his father he will already be familiar with the cabins, the food, and all of the fun activities.

The weekend is action-packed with activities including: ropes course, climbing wall, horseback riding, archery, riflery, tennis, ping-pong, canoeing, swimming, and more. Camp Laney Staff will facilitate all activities and invite dads to help supervise their child at the river and pool. There is no schedule and a rotating selection of activities is offered — fathers and sons choose what activities they would like to do and enjoy the weekend at their own pace.

Families are welcome to invite a grandfather, making the weekend a multi-generational experience. Uncles or mentors are encouraged to bring boys who do not have a father.
