Faith & Community

Just as God’s grace is available to all, Camp Laney is open to all boys. We are a Christian camp and emphasize values found in most faiths — love, compassion, humility, gratitude, and forgiveness. We welcome campers of all faiths to experience the fun and friendships that Camp Laney offers. It is our hope that when a camper leaves us at the end of the session he feels like the Camp Laney experience has become an important part of his life.

We have Morning Watch each day in our Muschamp Outdoor Chapel. During this time together, our staff share messages that, hopefully, campers will relate to and can apply to their lives. Messages may be spiritual in nature. Other topics covered at Morning Watch include leadership, sportsmanship, perseverance, teamwork, and friendship.

On the middle Sunday of each session we have a short worship service. The Sunday school lesson is designed to help campers understand what Jesus taught over 2,000 years ago and how it can apply to their lives at camp and at home.

Catholic campers that wish to go to Mass will be driven to Our Lady of the Valley located 20 minutes away in Fort Payne, AL.
